Born in 1953 in Kyiv.
 
Studied the technology of film and photo paper production at the Leningrad Institute of cinema engineers (now St. Petersburg), 1971-1977. Studied at the Institute of Journalistic studies in Kiev, 1982-1983.
 
Run a photographic workshop for young people at the photo studio "Mgnovenia", 1984-1994.

Member of "Pohlyad" photographers group, 1987-1994.

Photographer of the Year at the 1st Moscow International Photo Festival, 1993.

Selected by Soros Centers for Contemporary Arts Network as a 1993 Artslink  Fellow, received grant and attended USA - New York, Washington.

Received the Albert Renger-Patzsch Prize 1994 for the book project, Germany, Essen, Fotografische Sammlung Museum Folkwang. In 1996 her book “Jews in the Ukraine 1989-1994, Shtetls” was published by Cantz Verlag, Germany.
 
In 2001 emigrated to Germany.  ...
